Ryan Transfer Pricing Software, formerly Thomson Reuters ONESOURCE Transfer Pricing, is a set of three subscription products for transfer pricing documentation, benchmarking, operational adjustments and lifecycle management, built for multinational tax departments and advisory firms.
Independently scored, one dimension at a time. Every dimension is sourced, and we say whether a claim is published, reported, or estimated.
Ryan's public Whistic profiles list SOC 2 Type 2 reports for all three products (files labeled 2026 for Documenter and Lifecycle Management, 2025 for Operational) and a 2025 SOC 1 Type 2 report for Operational with a bridge letter to 31 May 2026 (read 11 October 2026). Ryan's product page, as read on 10 October 2026, described version history, change tracking and input-to-output data traceability. The reports sit behind an NDA, only Operational carries a SOC 1 report, and the SaaS Agreement disclaims accuracy and says the software is no substitute for professional tax advice.
The suite covers transfer pricing documentation, benchmarking, operational adjustments, intercompany agreements and audit management. Ryan's product page, as read on 10 October 2026, said Documenter carries annually updated regulatory information for more than 80 countries and access to millions of public and private comparable company records. It has no provision, return or Pillar Two module, and Ryan's security profile for Documenter refers to third-party comparables databases without naming them.
Ryan's product page, as read on 10 October 2026, said Operational is built to scale to the largest multinationals and that Documenter is used by some of the largest multinational enterprises; both are vendor statements. More than 600 clients moved with the two acquired lines in 2022, and no entity, user, volume or performance limit is published. The standard agreement meters record uploads or access, so the order form decides where growth starts to cost more.
Ryan's SaaS Agreement promises online and email support on business days at the service levels in its SLA. The SLA, as read on 10 October 2026 and marked updated 10 June 2026, commits to initial responses in 2, 4 or 8 business hours by severity and service credits below 99.0 percent availability, with English-language support from 9 to 5 US Central that excludes training and configuration. Ryan's transfer pricing practice is available as a paid extra, and Audit Friendly has no independent review-site evidence on support quality to cite.
Ryan publishes no typical timeline; its tax technology FAQ, as read on 10 October 2026, said timelines vary with solution complexity and data requirements. Its resource center listed environment setup, integration and data migration, role provisioning and role-based training as the work, and the SaaS Agreement bills implementation and training as professional services. The one public client story, MNP Consultores, describes starting with pilot engagements.
Ryan's transfer pricing page, as read on 10 October 2026, named no ERP connector and said integration methods depend on the customer's system architecture. Ryan's security profile says Operational centralizes and automates internal data collection, validation and standardization (read 11 October 2026), and its services page said the operational transfer pricing work integrates with ERP systems. With no public API found and automated users restricted by contract, feeds are a project to scope in the order form.
No MCP server appears in the official registry and no API reference or developer portal for these products was found (checked 11 October 2026). The SaaS Agreement bars robotic process automation and other programmatic users unless the order form allows them. In-product AI is limited to AI-assisted benchmarking in Lifecycle Management, and the 99 percent accuracy figure on a tax.com page archived in April 2026 is a vendor claim.
No price or pricing unit was on the product page when read on 10 October 2026, and the SaaS Agreement treats pricing information as confidential. The agreement does show the mechanics: annual billing in advance, overage true-ups, a 3 percent card fee and renewal subject to pricing adjustment. The only public benchmark found, Vendr's buyer guide as read on 10 October 2026, covers all Ryan software and rests on 3 deals.

The product Thomson Reuters sold as ONESOURCE Transfer Pricing now belongs to Ryan, the Plano tax services firm that announced the purchase on 19 September 2022. It is sold as three named products: Transfer Pricing Documenter for local files and benchmarking, Transfer Pricing Operational for adjustments and invoicing, and Transfer Pricing Lifecycle Management, which Ryan wrote up in a November 2025 article and whose security profile holds files uploaded in January 2025. Ryan lists a SOC 2 Type 2 report for each product and a SOC 1 Type 2 report for Operational, publishes its SaaS agreement and SLA, and can staff the work through its own transfer pricing practice.
The catch is how little is public. No price, pricing unit, API reference or public product documentation was found, and Audit Friendly has no independent review of the Ryan-era product to cite as of 11 October 2026. The security files put Documenter and Operational on AWS and Lifecycle Management on Azure, each with its own architecture file and audit report, so one suite on the slide can mean three implementations. The standard contract runs three years unless the order form says otherwise, renews automatically subject to pricing adjustment, bars robotic or programmatic users unless the order form allows them, and lets Ryan retire a product on 120 days' notice.
Before signing, get these in writing: the price and the metric that triggers overage, a cap on renewal increases, which comparables databases are included and which are licensed separately, a full export of files and data at exit in a named format, and permission for every integration or automated user planned. Ask for the current SOC reports under NDA and for a reference customer running the same products together.
Jobs, mapped to how finance teams actually buy.
Ryan's product page, as read on 10 October 2026, said Transfer Pricing Documenter keeps documentation, benchmarking studies and compliance reports in one workspace with permissions, comments and version control. Its rollforward updates a prior-year report with refreshed data, so the team edits only what changed. The page put the regulatory information at more than 80 countries, updated annually.
Ryan's security profile for Documenter says it gives access to global third-party comparables databases, and Ryan's product page, as read on 10 October 2026, said Lifecycle Management adds AI-assisted screening. A tax.com page archived on 18 April 2026 claimed 99 percent benchmarking accuracy and screening in minutes; that is the vendor's claim and Ryan's product page did not repeat it. Confirm which databases are included in the subscription.
Transfer Pricing Operational automates data collection, pricing adjustments and invoicing, with configurable rules and allocations by jurisdiction. Segmented P&L views and reports that move from summary to transaction detail support the period-end true-up. Because the adjustments feed the books, the SOC 1 Type 2 report Ryan lists for this product matters to the external auditor.
Ryan's security profile describes Lifecycle Management as covering policy creation, related-party transactions and the creation and execution of intercompany legal agreements (read 11 October 2026). A tax.com product page dated 17 November 2025, as archived on 18 April 2026, said agreements are generated from templates with policy data pre-filled, cutting drafting, execution and management time by half. That figure is the vendor's and no customer account confirms it.
Documenter holds compliance files and benchmarking studies in one searchable place with version history and change tracking. Operational traces data from input through output to show how a price was reached. Ryan's transfer pricing practice can take on controversy, APA and competent authority work as a separate engagement.

Here's what it really costs: published rates where a vendor lists them, aggregated quote data where they don't, plus a path to your own number.
Documentation and benchmarking workspace with report rollforward, comparables data access and regulatory write-ups for 80+ countries, per Ryan's page as read on 10 October 2026. No price or unit published.
Automates data collection, pricing adjustments and invoicing with configurable rules and allocations, per Ryan's page as read on 10 October 2026. No price or unit published.
Policy, intercompany agreements, AI-assisted benchmarking, dashboards and audit support in one workflow, per Ryan's page as read on 10 October 2026. No price published.
The SaaS Agreement says access to the online services includes technical support, upgrades and the SLA.
Implementation, training and consulting are billed at rates in the order form. Out-of-scope requests are charged at Ryan's then-current hourly rates, plus pre-approved travel.
Record uploads or access above the authorized number for the contract year are invoiced after a true-up, where overage applies to the order form.
Added when paying by credit or purchasing card; it can change on 30 days' notice. Checks and electronic transfers carry no stated fee.
Third-party data and software can be included under their own terms as named in the order form. Confirm which comparables databases are in the price.
Ryan's public Whistic profiles say Transfer Pricing Documenter and Transfer Pricing Operational are hosted in AWS, with Cloudera reports also on file for Operational, and that Lifecycle Management is a SaaS product hosted in Azure (read 11 October 2026). Each product has its own architecture file, penetration test letter and SOC 2 Type 2 report. Ask how entity, transaction and policy data moves between them and whether one sign-on covers all three. A buyer of all three should plan and price three implementations until Ryan shows otherwise.
Under Ryan's SaaS Agreement (updated December 2025), a subscription is three years unless the order form says otherwise. It renews automatically for a term equal to the one in the order form unless one party gives written notice at least 60 days before it ends. The renewal is subject to pricing adjustment and the document sets no ceiling. Fees are billed annually in advance and are non-cancelable and non-refundable unless the agreement says otherwise. Negotiate the term length and a fixed uplift cap, and put the notice date in the calendar at signing.
No API reference or developer portal for these products was found on 11 October 2026, and Ryan's SaaS Agreement describes documentation as self-help material provided to customers. The SaaS Agreement prohibits scrapers and automated extraction tools and bars robotic process automation or other programmatic users on authorized accounts unless the order form expressly says so. Ryan's product page, as read on 10 October 2026, said integration methods depend on the customer's system architecture. Get every planned feed, export and automated user written into the order form.
On termination the right to use the online services ends immediately, per the SaaS Agreement. Ryan will delete customer data on request, and its Data Processing Addendum, as read on 10 October 2026 and marked updated 10 June 2026, said it will delete or return customer data on written request or at termination. The SaaS Agreement names no export format or transition period for reports, benchmarking sets and rules. Pull a full export before the term ends and write the format into the contract.
Ryan's SaaS Agreement (updated December 2025) promises online and email support on business days, excluding weekends and Ryan holidays, at the service levels in its SLA. The SLA, as read on 10 October 2026 and marked updated 10 June 2026, set English-language email support from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM US Central, with only outage-level requests accepted outside those hours, and initial response targets of 2, 4 and 8 business hours by severity. It excluded training, configuration help and data entry, which are billed services. Teams in Europe or Asia closing a quarter should ask for extended coverage in the order form.
The SaaS Agreement lets Ryan discontinue an online service at its sole discretion with at least 120 days' written notice, a pro rata release from remaining fees and reasonable help moving to an alternative Ryan product. Ryan sells Lifecycle Management beside the two lines it bought from Thomson Reuters in 2022, and the tax.com transfer pricing pages now redirect to ryan.com (checked 11 October 2026). No end-of-life plan for Documenter or Operational was found. Ask for the roadmap in writing and a longer notice period.
Scored on what an outside agent can actually reach: the documented API, how it authenticates, and whether the vendor ships an MCP server.
Exists: No. The official MCP registry returned no server from Ryan or for transfer pricing on 10 October 2026, a GitHub search found no Ryan transfer pricing MCP project, and no developer portal was found on ryan.com or tax.com.
Scope: There is nothing to scope. No API reference or developer portal for Documenter, Operational or Lifecycle Management was found on 11 October 2026, and Ryan's SaaS Agreement describes documentation as self-help material provided to customers through online support. Ryan's product page, as read on 10 October 2026, said integration methods depend on the customer's system architecture.
Turnkey: No. Ryan's SaaS Agreement (updated December 2025) prohibits scrapers and automated extraction tools and bars robotic process automation or other programmatic users on authorized accounts unless the order form expressly allows them. Any agent or bot access is a negotiated exception.
In-product AI is narrow and hedged. Ryan's product page, as read on 10 October 2026, listed AI-assisted benchmarking in Lifecycle Management that finds comparables faster than manual research. A tax.com page dated 17 November 2025, as archived on 18 April 2026, said it pre-populates industry codes, screens comparables automatically and benchmarks with 99 percent accuracy; the vendor claims those results, and Ryan's product page did not repeat them when read on 10 October 2026. The SaaS Agreement says Ryan will not use customer-specific or non-anonymized data to train AI models.
Ryan published a 1 minute 48 second overview of Transfer Pricing Lifecycle Management on its YouTube channel, branded as powered by tax.com.
Ryan's Whistic profiles show SOC 2 Type 2 report files labeled 2026 for Transfer Pricing Documenter and Lifecycle Management, both uploaded on 22 June 2026. They are shared under NDA.
Ryan's trust center, as read on 10 October 2026, showed the SLA and the DPA last updated on 10 June 2026. The SLA kept a 99.0 percent availability threshold for service credits.
Ryan announced that Neuberger Berman committed to a significant minority equity interest alongside Onex Partners and Ares, with completion expected in the first half of 2026.
A ryan.com article, as read on 10 October 2026, summarised a Ryan and tax.com webinar on regulatory scrutiny, data demands and audit readiness in transfer pricing.
A ryan.com article, as read on 10 October 2026, described TPLM as covering planning, policy design, execution, monitoring and documentation, developed with multinational design partners. The product's security profile holds files from January 2025.
Ryan publishes no price. Every subscription is quoted in an order form after a demo, and the product page lists no tier or pricing unit (checked 10 October 2026).
The standard SaaS Agreement shows the mechanics: annual fees billed in advance, 30-day payment terms, overage for record uploads or access above the authorized number, and professional services for implementation and training at order-form rates.
The only public benchmark found is Vendr's buyer guide for Ryan as a whole: on 10 October 2026 it showed an average contract of about $105,000 a year and a maximum of up to $300,000, from 3 completed deals (reported). It mixes every Ryan software product, so use it only as a rough sanity check.
Ryan's SaaS Agreement (updated December 2025) sets a three-year subscription unless the order form says otherwise. It renews automatically for a term equal to the one in the order form, subject to pricing adjustment, unless either party gives written notice at least 60 days before the end. Either side can terminate for an uncured material breach after 30 days' notice. Ryan can retire a product with 120 days' notice. Liability is capped at fees already paid under the order form, and Texas law governs.
At termination, access stops immediately. Ryan will delete customer data on request, and its Data Processing Addendum, as read on 10 October 2026, said it will delete or return customer data on written request or at termination. The SaaS Agreement defines no export format or transition period, so export reports, benchmarking sets and rule configurations before the term ends and agree the format in the order form.
Ryan publishes no timeline. Its tax technology FAQ says implementation time varies with solution complexity and data requirements, and the work is sold as professional services in a statement of work.
Ryan's resource center lists the steps: environment setup, integration and data migration, role and user provisioning, then role-based training for administrators, analysts and reviewers. The published client story, MNP Consultores, started with selected pilot engagements and refined its templates before a full rollout.
Plan for a tax lead, a finance systems analyst for ERP extracts and IT for sign-on. Standard support excludes configuration help and training, so budget those as services.
No, as of 10 October 2026. There is no MCP server in the official registry, no public API reference and no developer portal for Documenter, Operational or Lifecycle Management.
The contract also matters. Ryan's SaaS Agreement bars robotic process automation or other programmatic users on authorized accounts unless the order form allows them, and prohibits scrapers and automated extraction tools.
An agent can still help around the product: checking exported comparables sets, drafting local file narrative from exported data, or reviewing intercompany agreement templates. Inside the product, the only AI Ryan lists is AI-assisted benchmarking in Lifecycle Management.
